Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ICU travel assignment at a rural Texas hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Rural hospital setting with a 12-bed ICU
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• Patient ratio is 1:2 in the ICU
• Floating to medical/surgical units is expected when ICU/IMC census is low, with a 1:6 ratio in that setting
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Meditech EMR experience is preferred
• Orientation provided for float assignments

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Located in Kerrville, TX — Texas's wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any products (including CBD) that could produce a positive result
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
