Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in Espanola, NM, requiring at least two years of ICU experience and prior travel experience.
Details
- 8-bed ICU at a hospital setting in Espanola, NM
- Patient ratio of 1:2-3
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Weekends required as needed
- On-call and charge/preceptor responsibilities may be required as needed
- Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
- Epic EMR experience preferred; on-site training available
Requirements
- Active NM or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA, AHSI, or ARC), ACLS (AHA, AHSI, or ARC), and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of current ICU experience required
- At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
- ADN or ASN degree required
- Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Must successfully pass an on-site Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to starting the assignment
Additional Information
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care
- Coordinates care through collaboration with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team
- Administers medications and treatments per physician orders or standard protocols
- Assumes clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
- Identifies patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout the episode of care
- The on-site BCA test is administered on the first day of orientation; candidates may retake it once — a second failure will result in contract termination
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Solid, matching scrub tops and bottoms required (color not specified)
- Former permanent employees of Presbyterian Health Services must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
