Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of IR experience, including Neurovascular IR, for a 13-week travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital in South Bend, Indiana.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 449 staffed beds
- Interventional Radiology unit performing vascular IR, body IR, Neurovascular IR, endografts, trauma cases, and stroke thrombectomies
- Daily caseload of 10–15 cases per tech
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM; hours shift to 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM when on call
- Call requirement of 1 day per week, plus every third or fourth weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
- No floating requirement
- Charting via Cerner
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IR Tech experience required
- Neurovascular IR experience required
- Must be proficient in scrubbing cases and familiar with guidewires and vascular techniques
- Familiarity with GE and Siemens fluoroscopy rooms required
- Experience with endografts, Neurovascular IR, trauma, and body IR procedures
- Active state license required — pending license accepted if active by start date (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
Additional Information
- Facility is a designated stroke thrombectomy center
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- Local candidates are not eligible for this position
