Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including inpatient, outpatient, ER, and pediatric/adult settings, for a 13-week evening and weekend contract at a short-term acute care hospital.

Details

• Short-term acute care community hospital with 223 staffed beds, including children's and adult ICU services
• MRI department equipped with a 1.5T Siemens Espree magnet
• Inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient populations across adult and pediatric settings
• Daily caseload of 15–20 patients per technologist
• Common diagnoses include TIA, osteomyelitis, MS, back pain, fall/MVA trauma, dilated CBD, cellulitis, and general cases, including patients with pacemakers and anesthesia cases
• Shift schedule: Friday 7:00 PM–2:00 AM, Saturday/Sunday 2:00 PM–2:00 AM, Monday 7:00 PM–2:00 AM (38 hours/week)
• On-call required; specific expectations to be discussed with manager
• Weekend availability required, including holiday on-call coverage
• Charting via Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, community hospital, children's hospital, and adult ICU settings required
• Current BLS required
• Advanced MR certification required: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Siemens MRI equipment experience required
• Proficiency with IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, PACS, contrast administration, biopsy, and pacemaker/defibrillator imaging protocols required
• Experience performing general MRI exams, cardiac MRI, and imaging of patients with pacemakers and defibrillators required
• State license required if applicable
• Pending state license not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions accepted
