Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week day shift travel contract in Lufkin, TX, requiring critical care experience and MEDHOST EMR familiarity.

Details

• Day shift position: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• ICU setting with 27 beds
• Patient ratios of 2:1 to 3-4:1 depending on acuity
• On-call is possible
• Floating to the step-down unit is required
• EMR: MEDHOST
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand; pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the contract start)
• Minimum 2+ years of critical care/ICU experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Navy scrubs required
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
