Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Critical Access Hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every third weekend required
• Patient population includes high-risk pregnancies, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, neonatal and newborn care, and postpartum care
• Procedures include forceps/vacuum-assisted delivery, cervical cerclage, pain management, and neonatal care
• Skills required include sterile speculum exams, NSTs, reflex checks, sterile vaginal exams, external fetal monitoring (EFM), IV placement, and medication administration
• EMR: Centricity (preferred, not required)
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis

Requirements

• Active RN license in KS or a compact state — must be in hand at time of consideration (no pending licenses)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Role requires the ability to jump in independently from the start of the night shift with minimal ramp-up time
