Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) certifications and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

• Diagnostic imaging department, women's health section of radiology
• Performs diagnostic mammography procedures for radiologist interpretation
• Day shift schedule
• Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS systems is beneficial

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist
• State license required if applicable
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for the daily operations of the women's health mammography section, including QA, preventative maintenance scheduling, and regulatory compliance
• Maintains accurate patient records in EHR and ensures all necessary documentation is complete prior to submitting procedures for radiologist interpretation
• Adheres to FDA guidelines for the mammography section and ALARA radiation safety standards
• May assist in other imaging modalities and cross-training opportunities available in CT, MRI, and DEXA
• Assists with training and development of imaging staff in breast imaging specialties
• Holiday coverage may be required
