Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN specializing in Spine & Total Joint procedures for a 13-week travel assignment in Colorado, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and an active CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Position is in a hospital Spine & Total Joint OR unit, staffing 8–11 rooms daily across 3 ORs for Spine & Joint and 4 ORs for an International Hip Preservation Center
- Typical procedures include spine fusions, ALIFs, other spine cases, and total joint replacements
- Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Saturdays and Sundays are on-call only; night call runs 5:00 PM–11:00 PM Monday through Friday with no overnight requirement
- 30-minute on-call response time is required
- EMR system is Meditech/CPN; prior Meditech experience is preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital OR experience required
- Spine and joint OR experience is required
- Joint scrub experience is preferred
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- Unit team includes a charge RN and unit secretary per day shift
- Strong communication skills and flexibility are valued on this unit
- Candidates must have at least 2 years of clinical experience in their area of placement for this HCA facility
