Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience to perform routine and specialized breast imaging procedures in an outpatient setting in Los Gatos, CA.

Details

• Outpatient mammography setting, first floor imaging center
• Performs 16–18 exams per shift
• Procedures include routine mammography, breast biopsies, and needle localization
• 5x8 hour day shifts with two shift options: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
• Primarily Monday–Friday schedule with 1–2 Saturdays per month

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience required
• Current BLS required
• CA Radiologic Technology (CRT) license and CA Mammography license (RHM) required — license required if applicable
• ARRT certification required unless the candidate holds a CA State Mammography License
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

• Competently performs routine and specialized breast procedures including biopsies and needle localization to produce diagnostic-quality images
• Works independently using sound clinical judgment to execute safe and precise procedures in a timely manner
• Responsible for patient assessment, monitoring, and communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety
• May be responsible for orienting other staff to the department
• Previous employees must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved per contract
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
