Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU position requiring Level 1 trauma ICU experience and active AHA certifications.
Details
- Work in the Neuro Transplant ICU of a hospital setting
- Patients include those with complex neurological conditions requiring intensive care
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Level 1 trauma center environment
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard OK or Compact/eNLC) currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a Level 1 trauma ICU - Neurology setting
- NIHSS certification required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and evaluate nursing care
- Basic computer proficiency
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
- Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
- Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring assigned patients, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff
- Delegates tasks to support staff and communicates care plans to patients and families
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to reapply after completing 26 weeks (one extension) total
- BSN is preferred over ADN
