Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring advanced telemetry experience, night shift availability, and an active NH or Compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Hospital-based float pool unit covering Med/Surg and Telemetry
• Advanced telemetry patient population including Cardizem drips, insulin drips (hyperglycemia, not DKA), and Phenobarbital administration
• 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
• 3 shifts per week, every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating may be required within the facility
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license currently in hand — temporary licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2+ years of acute care experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry setting
• Advanced telemetry experience required
• 2 recent references from a Charge RN or Nurse Manager (no peers or coworkers) required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a local pay rate
• No RTO will be approved for the July 4th holiday period (7/2–7/5)
• All requested time off must be disclosed upfront at the time of consideration
• Weekly orientation provided
• Former permanent staff are eligible to return as a traveler after a 12-month break in service
• 3 professional references are required upon commitment (at least 2 from leadership)
