Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift travel contract in Tucson, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and Cerner proficiency at a Trauma Level III facility.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Services department of a 38-bed Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility in Tucson, AZ
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12s)
- Cerner EMR experience is required
- Willingness to float is required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Dept RN experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is recommended but not required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- US Social Security Number required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
Additional Information
- Responsible for providing emergency nursing care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care in the ED
- Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
- Black scrubs required
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
