Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a night shift position in a Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant ICU, requiring Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience.

Details

• Position is in a Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant ICU within a hospital setting
• Unit cares for both cardiac medical ICU patients and Cardiac/Thoracic/Vascular Surgery ICU patients
• Cardiac assist devices managed include Impella, IABP, LVAD, and NxStage
• Patient ratio is 2:1
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU RN experience required
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and LVAD required
• NxStage experience preferred
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Valid driver's license required
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide ICU-level nursing care to both cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery patients
• Local candidates are accepted, but candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
