Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool Progressive Care Unit position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience in a comparable facility.

Details

• Float Pool position covering all PCU/IMCU floors with a cardiac patient population
• Patient conditions include STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiac/pulmonary cases, and cardiothoracic surgery (CTS)
• Patient ratio of 1:3–4; may also be assigned to telemetry beds with lower acuity levels
• Cardiac drip management required, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors
• Epic EMR in use
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts per month required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or similar progressive care experience in a comparable-sized facility
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume hospital with complex and diverse cases required
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced clinical situations
• Epic EMR experience

• This is a Level 1 trauma center serving a high-acuity, inner-city patient population with complex and challenging cases
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Minimal RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment
