Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital, requiring Open Heart ICU experience and proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring devices.
Details
- CVICU unit within a 521-bed short-term acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- Patient population includes post-open heart surgery recovery and critically ill cardiovascular patients
- Experience with Swan-Ganz catheters, IABP, Impella, and hemodynamic monitoring required for this role
- Charting is performed in Epic
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Floating required within scope to all three system hospitals (Martin North, South, and Tradition — within 20 miles)
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained prior to start
- Minimum 1–2 years of Open Heart ICU experience required
- Ventilator management experience required
- Experience with Swan-Ganz catheters, IABP, Impella, and hemodynamic monitoring required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

- Parking is free in any unrestricted space
- This is a smoke-free, nicotine-free facility — all candidates must be nicotine-free with no exceptions; a negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen is required
- Time-sensitive facility onboarding modules must be prioritized and completed promptly upon assignment confirmation
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requests added after submission will likely not be approved
- Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
