Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a CVICU Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience, Epic proficiency, and an active NY RN license.

Details

• Position is within a Cardiovascular/Vascular ICU (CVICU) float pool at a Level I Trauma Center
• High-acuity patient population including immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients requiring intensive care
• Competencies required include ventilator management, arterial lines (A-lines), spinal drains, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ECG interpretation, temporary pacemakers, and vasoactive/inotropic drip titration
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent staff CVICU experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be from AHA or RQI)
• US Social Security Number required
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations will not be honored
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• A competency test must be completed within 24 hours of submission via the candidate's email — 2 attempts are allowed to pass
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• More than 3 call-outs within the 13-week contract period may result in termination; makeup shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
• First-time travelers will not be considered — previous travel experience is required
