Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, working night shifts with floating requirements.
Details
- Surgical ICU (SICU) in a 562-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet facility
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating is required for all travelers — within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Charting via Cerner
- Scrubs: any solid color
- On-site parking is available at no cost
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — must be active; AHA or Red Cross accepted (RQI AHA cards not accepted)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
- Travel pairs are not accepted
- RTO of 5 days or fewer is pre-approved; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
