Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with orthopedic experience for a 13-week contract at an outpatient clinic setting in the Boston area.

• Outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting
• Position begins at the Chelsea location and transitions to the Revere location in July
• Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a physical therapist in a hospital, rehab, or ambulatory setting required
• Orthopedic physical therapy experience required
• For licensure prior to 2016, a bachelor's or master's degree in Physical Therapy is acceptable; licensure from 2016 onward requires a DPT
• Active MA PT license required; conditional licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Familiarity with Epic or similar EMR systems preferred
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, establishing plans of care, administering manual therapy and exercises, and supervising PTAs in accordance with organizational policy and state regulations
• Clinician will discuss evaluation findings, goals, and treatment plans with patients and their families
• Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the Boston facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• No validated parking is available at Boston locations; public parking is available at daily rates; other locations may also have parking costs
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
• RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
