Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU/IMC position requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience and the ability to pass a Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Intermediate Care (IMC) setting in a hospital environment
• Cardiac monitoring for up to 8 patients at bedside
• Specialized equipment includes ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment
• When floating to Telemetry and/or Med-Surg, patient ratio is 1:5 or 1:6
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required; unit directs weekend scheduling based on operational needs
• Float required to Telemetry and/or Med-Surg as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, IMC, or Stepdown experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on the lethal rhythms section
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
