Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Step-Down/PCU position requiring ICU experience, with floating responsibilities across multiple units on day shift.

Details

• Step-Down/PCU unit within a hospital setting, 21-bed unit
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Patient ratio of 1:4–5
• Floating required across Step-Down, ICU, and Med-Surg units
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Patient population includes NSTEMIs, post-cardiac cath with intervention, vascular cases (fem-pop, CEA), CIWA patients receiving IV Ativan, peritoneal dialysis, stable BiPAP, heated high-flow oxygen (<80%), home ventilator (Trilogy) patients, and wound care
• Non-titrating drips administered, including Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and Cardene
• Hemodialysis performed in the Dialysis Department
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact RN license valid in South Carolina, currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• ICU experience required, as floating to ICU is expected
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held every Wednesday
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, though travel experience is preferred
