Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a 13-week day shift contract at a Chest Pain and Stroke Center in Charlotte, NC, requiring 2+ years of experience across critical care, NICU, and multi-specialty settings.

• Work in a Respiratory Care department at a 337-licensed-bed hospital with Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designations in Charlotte, NC
• Adult and NICU patient populations (no pediatric)
• Department sees 300+ patients per day
• Skills required span Critical Care, CVICU, NICU, ED, Progressive Care, and all floor therapies
• EMR: Epic
• Equipment includes Servo ventilators (Servo-I, Servo-U, Servo-Air), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Floating is required across Region 2 facilities, including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, any Freestanding ED within the region, and Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children's Hospital) — candidates unwilling to float must decline this position

Requirements

• RRT or CRT credential required
• Active NC Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Minimum 12 months of core experience in unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Experience across Critical Care, CVICU, NICU, ED, and Progressive Care settings required
• Candidate's permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• One professional reference dated within the past year required, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
