Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 12-hour day shift position at a 337-bed hospital in the Charlotte, NC area, supporting a wide range of care areas including NICU, CVICU, and ED.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Care department of a 337-bed community hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designation
• Serves an adult and NICU patient population (no pediatric)
• Department sees 300+ patients per day
• Covers critical care, CVICU, NICU, ED, progressive care, and all floor therapies
• EMR: Epic
• Equipment includes Servo ventilators (I, U, and Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP
• 12-hour day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Floating is required across Region 2 facilities, including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, any freestanding ED within Region 2, and Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children's Hospital) — candidates who are not willing to float should not apply

Requirements

• RRT or CRT national certification required
• Active NC Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core experience in unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the past year
• Experience across critical care, CVICU, NICU, ED, progressive care, and general floor therapies required
• 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN required for consideration
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
