Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with specialized experience scrubbing neuro/stroke cases on Biplane equipment at a Comprehensive Stroke Center in Plano, TX.
Details
- Hospital-based Interventional Radiology department at a Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Specializes in neuro/stroke cases utilizing Biplane equipment
- Patient population spans newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric age groups
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off
- After-hours, weekend, and on-call availability required
- 13-week travel contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Active ARRT and ARRT (VI) certifications required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Active TX license required if applicable
- Specialized experience scrubbing neuro/stroke cases on Biplane equipment
- Flu shot required; no exemptions accepted
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs high-quality IR procedures according to exam protocol under the general supervision of a Radiologist
- Responsible for patient positioning, equipment setup, and adjusting exposure factors for invasive multimodality procedures
- Maintains strict sterile technique, radiation safety, and infection control standards
- Obtains and verifies all relevant documentation including patient history, consent forms, and pregnancy status
- May serve as preceptor for new team members on procedures and initiatives
- Navy blue scrubs provided by the facility
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
