Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Lexington, KY, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting providing 24/7 emergency care for patients of all ages
• The ED includes specialty rooms, an Extended Care Unit for observation, and 24-hour EMS/ALS support
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week travel contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, TNCC, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation
• Minimum education: ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)
• Previous nursing experience preferred but not required
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
• Proficiency with computer systems and clinical applications, or ability to be trained

Additional Information

• Implements evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care across all four phases of the nursing process
• Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, treatment coordination, and family education
• Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge activities including timely execution of discharge orders
• Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors care provided by other team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation audits
