Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care (LTC) position at a hospital-based facility in Hilo, Hawaii, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and an active Hawaii RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Long Term Care (LTC) unit
- 8-hour shifts on a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Shift preference and hours are not guaranteed — flexibility is required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment — candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Experience with LTC clinical skills including wound care, tracheostomy care, G-tube care, urinary catheter care, CPAP care, and wound VAC preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessments, treatments, medication administration, MD/NP notification, admissions and discharges, ADL assistance, and specialized care including Gastrostomy Tube, urinary catheter, nebulized treatments, wound VAC, CPAP, and tracheostomy management
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment — this appointment is scheduled at the facility's Employee Health department and attendance is mandatory
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
- Holiday coverage is required as part of the varied schedule
