Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring both circulating and scrubbing experience in a high-volume, multi-specialty OR.
Details
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Main OR setting serving adult to geriatric patient populations
- Multi-specialty OR covering General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal cases
- 16 OR rooms with an average daily census of 35 patients
- Utilizes Epic, Pyxis, and two Da Vinci XI Robotic systems
- Floating is rare
- On-call requirements include approximately 7–8 call shifts per 6-week schedule, plus 1 weekend call and 1–2 weekend shifts
- Approximately 2–3 weekend shifts per contract period
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- Both circulating and scrubbing experience are required — this is a hard stop requirement
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgery (Da Vinci XI) is beneficial given the unit's caseload
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO is capped at 7 days for the contract period; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them — no holiday RTO will be approved
- If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them, and one holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- No special scheduling requests or alternate shift requests are permitted
- Travelers who have previously worked at any Piedmont facility must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
- All compliance requirements must be met on time; late compliance may result in a two-week start date delay due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
