Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) night shift position in Paramount, CA, requiring vent/trach experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• LTAC hospital setting in Paramount, CA
• Unit: Chronic Care (LTAC/Telemetry)
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Vent/trach management and central line knowledge required; wound care experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required — must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA); RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or relevant RN experience required
• Vent/trach experience required; central line knowledge required; wound care experience preferred
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Additional Information

• Provides shift-level accountability for patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the CA Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical leadership in planning and delegating safe patient care
• Supervises and directs assigned personnel in the delivery of patient care
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Kindred Hospital facility in a permanent or contract role should be prepared to disclose facility name, dates worked, and reporting manager
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
• Prior permanent employees must be listed as resigned in the relevant HR system before being considered for a travel assignment
