Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level IV NICU position in California, requiring a CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

  • Level IV NICU in a hospital setting
  • Day shift, 36–48 hours per week
  • NICU RNs float as NRP nurses and to the postpartum unit
  • Postpartum experience is needed due to floating responsibilities

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted CA RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
  • Must have worked in the NICU specialty within the last 3 months
  • Two supervisor references required: one from the past year and one from within the past two years
  • Clean, unrestricted license history required — candidates with any prior license action will not be considered

Additional Information

  • Provides neonatal intensive care nursing in a Level IV NICU environment
  • Floats to postpartum unit and serves in NRP nurse capacity as needed
  • Skills checklist for the NICU specialty must have been completed within the past year
  • RTO is limited — candidates requesting more than 5 days off during the contract will not be considered
  • All employment gaps of one month or longer must be documented and explained in your work history
