Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) night shift position in Ohio, requiring 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Estimated patient ratio of 1:3
- Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skills required include conscious sedation, ventilator management, and telemetry monitoring
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of PCU RN experience required
- BLS required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Experience with conscious sedation, ventilators, and telemetry required
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- No required break between assignments when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs, who require a 30-day break)
