Description
American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and ARRT certification for a 13-week travel contract in York, ME.
Details
- Hospital-based MRI department serving geriatric, pediatric, and general patient populations
- Performs diagnostic MRI procedures including using and building imaging protocols
- Schedule is 3x13-hour day shifts on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Variable shifts may be required based on census
- Holiday coverage is handled via call, and candidates may be asked to assist with holiday shifts
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
- Current ARRT registration required (RT, M, R, or MRI)
- BLS/BCLS certification required
- Associate's Degree or Certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program required
- Influenza vaccination required per State of Maine mandate, unless an approved medical exemption is provided
- State license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsible for screening patients for MRI contraindications in accordance with ACR and facility safety protocols
- Educates patients on MRI procedures, addresses concerns, and ensures removal of hazardous metal objects prior to scanning
- Monitors patients visually and verbally throughout procedures
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment and reporting on equipment status
- Assists with inventory monitoring as needed
- Staff is expected to maintain patient confidentiality at all times and build effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and team members
