Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology (IR) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of IR experience and active BLS certification, working 4x10-hour day shifts per week.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within an Interventional Radiology (IR) department
• Department operates with 2 procedure rooms/scanners
• Common procedures include placement of lines, tubes, and drains; RN responsibilities span pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patient monitoring
• IV insertion required
• Radiologist is in-house
• EMR: Epic; PACS: Change (McKesson)
• Equipment includes Siemens and GE imaging systems
• Schedule: Days, 4x10-hour shifts
• Minimal call required on 3-day holiday weekends only
• No weekend requirement
• No floating required to other departments
• Pre-scheduled shifts with some flexibility for self-scheduling

Requirements

• Active WA state or Compact (NLC) RN license — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS preferred — pending certifications not accepted
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Ability to perform IV insertions
• A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years — both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Department-specific orientation is provided (12 hours)
• Blue scrubs required; scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible — candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
