Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for an inpatient MRI role at a high-volume Level II Trauma Center in Reno, NV, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MRI experience and ARRT certification.
Details
- Inpatient MRI department within a high-volume, fast-paced 800-bed Level II Trauma Center serving a 500-mile radius
- Facility is the only trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually
- Patient population ranges from infant through geriatric
- Facility features the newest 3T MRI technology
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts with varied, rotating days of the week including potential weekends and holidays
- On-call (standby and callback) is required
- May be required to float within the organization up to competency level
- Epic EMR used; training provided during orientation or candidates may test out
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
- ARRT certification required; MRI certification (R.T., R.M.R.I.T.) preferred
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- License required if applicable
- All BLS and required certifications must be AHA-accredited
- Must be able to care for patients ranging in age from infant to geriatric
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include producing diagnostic MRI scans, assisting radiologists and referring physicians, and ensuring quality patient care
- Must demonstrate advanced technical skills and MRI physics knowledge to operate MRI scanners efficiently and accurately
- Must maintain proficiency with MRI scanning equipment and hospital/department computer systems
- Minimum of 2 major holidays required
- Blocked scheduling is not allowed
- A 13-week break is required before returning travelers may be considered for a new contract at this facility
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration, as it will not be added to the end of the contract
