Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with home health experience for a 12-week travel contract, providing skilled PT services to an adult and geriatric patient population.
Details
- Home health setting serving an adult to geriatric patient population
- Expected caseload of 6 visits per day with an average daily census of 80
- Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- No weekend shifts required
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- EMR: HCHB (required)
- Focus areas include assessments, documentation, orthopedics, and neurology
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Active PT license required, if applicable
- Proficiency with HCHB EMR required
- Experience in home health, orthopedics, and neurology preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO is capped at 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage is expected: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers who have previously worked at this health system must have been away from all system facilities for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted; the posted shift is firm
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted
- Any color scrubs are acceptable
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time
