Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 3+ years of experience for a solo RT role at a Critical Access, Level IV Trauma hospital serving ICU, ED, and Med/Surg patients.
Details
- Critical Access Hospital with 23 staffed beds, including a Level IV Trauma ED, ICU, and Med/Surg unit with a swing bed program
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Uses Draeger and Hamilton ventilators
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00–18:30; Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–6:30
- Every other weekend work required
- No on-call required
- No floating within the facility required; however, travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state
Requirements
- Active RRT credential and Oregon (OR) state RRT license required if applicable
- Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
- Proficiency with ventilator management on Draeger and Hamilton ventilators required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Required certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- This position functions as a solo RT on shift, covering a Critical Access facility's ICU, ED, and Med/Surg departments
- First-time travelers will be considered provided they meet the 3-year experience requirement
- Any color scrubs are accepted; OR scrubs are provided by the facility
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimal RTO is expected; requests should be disclosed upfront as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
- Parking is available at no cost
