Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in California, with Epic EMR experience required and night shifts on a 3x12 schedule.

Details

  • Work in the NICU of a 200-bed acute care hospital
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Night shift schedule (7p–7a), 3x12 hours
  • Weekends required
  • Floating between like units and across facilities within California is required
  • Charting via Epic EMR (experience required)
  • Free parking available on-site

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required (pending licensure not accepted)
  • Current certifications required: BLS and NRP
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — RTO requests made after submission or offer may be denied
  • Solid royal blue scrubs required for RN staff
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • Refusal to float between facilities may result in assignment termination
