Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Ventura County requiring a minimum of 2 years of PACU experience, ICU experience, and an active CA RN license.

Details

• 13-week travel contract
• PACU unit in a hospital setting
• Adult patient population
• 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• 4x10-hour variable day shifts between Monday and Friday, with shift start times ranging from 0800–0930
• Weekend coverage required
• 24 hours of weekend on-call duty per month
• One weekday on-call shift per week (Monday–Friday, 2300–0700)
• Floating required
• Uses Pyxis, SBAR, and Cerner

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• ICU experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• All time-off requests must be submitted upfront; RTO should be limited to 3–4 days for the duration of the contract
