Description
American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience, RDMS-AB and Breast certifications, for an acute care hospital position on an evening shift schedule.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in the Radiology/Ultrasound department
- Department has 4 scanner rooms
- Studies include general abdominal US (renal, liver, RUQ, spleen), vascular (carotid, femoral), PVR, venous reflux, early OB, OB anatomy, BPP, and transvaginal imaging
- Average of 12–14 scans/studies per day
- Equipment includes GE and Canon ultrasound systems
- EMR is Epic; PACS system is Fuji
- Monday through Friday evening shift, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM (8-hour shifts)
- On-call rotation covering nights and weekends; no holiday coverage required
- No floating to other areas
- No IV start requirement
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- RDMS-AB (Abdomen) via ARDMS required
- Breast sonography certification required
- RVT certification preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting
- License required if applicable
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Perform general abdominal, vascular, obstetric, and transvaginal ultrasound studies
- Supervised by a Radiology Manager; no in-house radiologist on staff
- No RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants) used in the department
- Black scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
- Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered
- Travelers are not eligible to work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year without a 2-year break
- First-time travelers will be interviewed directly with a unit manager
