Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit (2W) in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Level 1 trauma center
• General medical/surgical patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
• 10-bed unit
• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend required
• Every other holiday (EOH) coverage required
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Equipment includes AccuDose, bladder scanner, Philips monitors, and telemetry
• May float to any Med/Surg unit on any campus in Fargo as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Experience in a larger hospital (250+ beds) at a Level 2 or higher trauma center required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required (completed assignments; currently on a first travel assignment is not sufficient); travel experience within the last year preferred
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years
• All certifications must be active at time of consideration (no pending certifications)
• Active RN license required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Collaborates with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Practices within the full scope of nursing expertise using age- and population-specific standards
• Navy blue scrubs required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates residing between 61 and 80 miles of the facility may be considered at a local pay rate
• Candidates with previous employment at any Sanford Health location must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their application date
