Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring CAH experience, OB proficiency, and the ability to float to Med/Surg.

Details

• Acute care setting at a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
• Labor & Delivery unit with float responsibilities to Med/Surg (MS)
• Low-volume OB unit delivering approximately 12–15 births per month (roughly 150 per year)
• Patient population includes pregnancies ≥36 weeks, pre-eclampsia, and multiples; higher-risk or <36-week patients are transferred out
• 12-hour shifts; straight nights or rotating days/nights available — no straight days
• Rotating schedule is approximately 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights
• Weekend requirement: every other or every third weekend
• EMR: Epic
• Equipment includes Nihon Kohden cardiac monitors and Philips fetal heart monitors
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• CAH (Critical Access Hospital) experience required
• OB/Labor & Delivery experience required
• Must be comfortable practicing in both L&D and Med/Surg settings
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have a current MN NetStudy fingerprint clearance or the ability to be fingerprinted promptly

• Candidate must be comfortable floating between Labor & Delivery and Med/Surg as needed
• MN NetStudy fingerprint requirements must be met prior to starting — candidates should be prepared to complete this process quickly if not already cleared
