Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a rural hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and availability for night shifts with every other weekend coverage.

Med/Surg unit in a rural hospital setting
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
Night shift hours: 19:00–07:30
Every other weekend required
13-week contract

Requirements

Active RN license — SC state or compact license required
BLS certification required (AHA only)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Additional Information

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and nursing interventions in alignment with physician-prescribed plans of care
Experience with central lines, chest tubes, Foley and suprapubic catheters, pressure ulcer management, restraints, and fall-risk patients is expected
Conducts hourly rounding using the 4 P's framework
Contributes to precepting and mentoring of novice staff members
