Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a hospital-based nuclear medicine department, requiring ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Work in the nuclear medicine department of an acute care hospital with 373 licensed beds (344 acute, 29 inpatient rehab)
- Serves ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations
- General and cardiac nuclear imaging performed
- Department averages 7–10 studies per day
- Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week
- On-call every 3rd weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–2:00 PM (8 hours)
- Equipment includes GE Infinia and GE Ventri gamma cameras
- EMR: Epic (with Epic Radiant RIS); PACS: Philips iSite
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine experience, with most recent experience within the last year
- Registration by ARRT(N) or NMTCB required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state license required, if applicable
- PET/CT experience preferred
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Radiology nursing support is available for cardiac imaging; guest services and transport support available for inpatient, observation, and ED patients
- Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) and up to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
- Travelers are expected to cover 75% of holidays
- Black scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site in surface lots and parking decks
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Former permanent employees of any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
