Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ICU/CSICU travel assignment in Arkansas, requiring an active AR or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• 17-bed ICU/CSICU unit within a hospital setting
• Broad patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics
• Cardiovascular patient care including post-op coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), thoracotomy, carotid stenting, and heart valve replacement or repair
• Experience with specialized equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), induced hypothermia, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and the Impella Heart Pump
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Facility is on its Magnet Journey, reflecting a culture of professionalism and evidence-based practice

Requirements

• Active Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing required
• ADN required; BSN preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Basic computer proficiency required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care and nursing leadership within a collaborative, shared governance model
• Care for patients undergoing both interventional and non-interventional procedures, general surgery, and advanced cardiovascular therapies
• Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result is an automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive screen, including CBD products
• This position is designated safety-sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
