Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position in Ohio, requiring active ICU/MICU experience and an OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Adult patient population in a Medical ICU (MICU) setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units within the health system may be required based on need
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Active ICU/MICU nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Additional Information

• Core responsibilities include ventilator management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV sedation, neuromuscular blockade, arterial/central/PICC line management, blood product administration, CRRT, dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKGs, hypothermia protocol, stroke and neuro care, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABGs, wound vacs, and infection prevention
• Equipment used includes NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors, GE ventilators, patient room lifts, and externalized IV pumps
• Robust support services available including IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response team, NP, anesthesiology, and CRNA support
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Multiple parking options are available to travelers at varying price points, including permit options with shuttle access to the medical center
• Changing representation between assignments does not require a 30-day break (except for Sterile Processing Techs)
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
