Description
American Traveler is hiring an IR Technologist for an acute care, Level II Trauma facility in Bismarck, ND, requiring 3+ years of interventional radiology experience and active ARRT (R) and NDMIRT licensure.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting at a Level II Trauma center
- Unit consists of two fluoroscopy rooms, CT, and two procedure rooms for ultrasound-guided cases
- Perform both independent smaller interventional cases and collaborative two-person team work for large angiography procedures
- Procedures include interventional radiology cases assisted alongside radiologists, including scrubbing and room coordination
- Equipment includes a Toshiba IR machine, Siemens Ultrasound unit, Sectra PACS, and Epic EMR
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 8-hour day shifts with the possibility of staying to complete a late-starting case
- Call required: approximately 10 days or fewer per month, with roughly 2 call days per week depending on scheduling
- Evening and weekend call rotation required
- May float to CT to assist with procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- Active BLS certification required
- North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board registration (NDMIRT) required — note that this license takes approximately 4 weeks to obtain
- License required if applicable
- Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the specialty within the last 3 years
- All certifications must be active at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted
- Background check required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assisting radiologists during procedures, scheduling and coding cases, and post-procedure film processing with charting and billing
- Orientation includes EMR training and general equipment and protocol review by the department (8-hour orientation)
- Ceil blue scrubs are provided by the facility
- Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must disclose this; prior Sanford employees must have an end date at least 6 months before their consideration date
- This location does not accept candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility
