Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 5+ years of L&D experience, multi-unit coverage across L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery, and a rotating 36/48-hour schedule.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting, working across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, on a rotating 36/48-hour schedule (alternating 3x12 and 4x12 weeks)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Meditech EMR in use
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active KY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 5 years of recent L&D experience in an acute care setting
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery required
• Driver's license with address matching permanent residence required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one Charge Nurse or higher, one supervisor — both completed within the last year
• Middle name required; confirmation needed if none exists

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have worked within the system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before returning
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be declared upfront with no changes accepted
• Must be willing to work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly basis
