Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active travel experience.
Details
- Blended ICU/CVICU setting within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
- 16-bed ICU unit serving adult and geriatric patients
- Common diagnoses and procedures include STEMI, NSTEMI, CABG, valve repair/replacement, CRRT, TCAR, TVAR, acute respiratory failure, A-fib RVR, sepsis, stroke, trauma, COPD exacerbation, head injury, overdose, and ETOH withdrawal
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Baxter infusion pumps in use
- EHR system: Medhost
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- On-call responsibilities required
- Float requirements include the Intermediate Care Unit (as primary RN) and ED holding for admitted patients, on an as-needed basis
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/CVICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Joint Commission Accredited facility designated as a Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- No block scheduling; 48-hour scheduling may be considered
- Weekly orientation provided
