Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active travel experience.

Details

• Blended ICU/CVICU setting within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• 16-bed ICU unit serving adult and geriatric patients
• Common diagnoses and procedures include STEMI, NSTEMI, CABG, valve repair/replacement, CRRT, TCAR, TVAR, acute respiratory failure, A-fib RVR, sepsis, stroke, trauma, COPD exacerbation, head injury, overdose, and ETOH withdrawal
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Baxter infusion pumps in use
• EHR system: Medhost
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Float requirements include the Intermediate Care Unit (as primary RN) and ED holding for admitted patients, on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/CVICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Joint Commission Accredited facility designated as a Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• No block scheduling; 48-hour scheduling may be considered
• Weekly orientation provided
