Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position in Sioux City, IA, requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency with high-acuity drip administration.
Details
- Hospital Med/Surg Oncology unit setting
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required, including holiday rotation if scheduled
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active IA RN license or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS (may be obtained prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and/or Oncology nursing experience required
- Experience administering IV drips including Heparin, PCA, and epidural required; chemo administration experience required if certified
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- High-acuity care experience preferred
- One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Additional Information
- Provide professional clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
- RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving holiday week and the Christmas/New Year's holiday window, regardless of holidays worked
- Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for this position
