Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Neonatal ICU position in a Level 2A Special Care Nursery, requiring prior special care newborn nursing experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Level 2A Special Care Nursery (NICU) setting
- Care provided to neonates during high-risk deliveries and in a Level 2 nursery
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 3x12s (36 hrs/week)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating to Mother/Baby unit and Labor & Delivery required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in special care nursing of newborns
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized care plans for neonatal patients and their families
- Coordinate care across multiple disciplines and maintain communication with interdisciplinary team members
- Delegates selected activities to unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of practice
- Provides patient and family education as appropriate
- Every other holiday coverage required
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but at a reduced pay rate
