Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week night shift contract in Cedar Rapids, IA, requiring ARRT certification and strong OR competency with GE OEC c-arm experience.
Details
- Hospital-based radiology department in Cedar Rapids, IA
- Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
- Weekend on-call rotation required
- Average of 100 patient scans per day across all techs
- Diagnostic equipment includes Philips Diagnostic and Carestream
- OR equipment includes Hologic breast machine, Philips portable, Siemens Cysto, and GE OEC c-arms
- Fluoroscopy equipment: Toshiba
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active ARRT certification required
- Active AHA or ARC BLS certification required
- Iowa Radiology License/IDPH State Permit highly preferred; license required if applicable — candidates without an active license must apply upon acceptance
- Minimum of 24 months of X-Ray experience in a clinic or hospital setting
- Strong OR competency and experience required
- GE OEC c-arm experience required
- Philips equipment experience highly preferred
- Siemens Cysto experience highly preferred
- Carestream portable experience preferred
- Fluoroscopy experience preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
- One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years preferred for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have at least 24 months of X-Ray experience
- Candidates who have been employed at this facility as an FTE or PRN within the past 12 months are not eligible for this position
- Contractors are expected to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
