Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatrics Med/Surg position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a KY or compact RN license, working nights on a rotating 36/48-hour schedule.

Details

• Pediatric Med/Surg unit in a regional hospital setting
• Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, on a rotating 36/48 schedule (alternating 3x12 and 4x12 weeks)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Meditech EMR in use
• Patient ratios may fluctuate based on census and staffing

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required — must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric Med/Surg experience required
• Driver's license required, must match permanent address
• 2 professional references required: 1 charge nurse or higher, 1 supervisor — both completed within the past year
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered; must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted after submission
• Must be willing and able to work either a major or minor holiday each assignment
• Travelers who have worked within this system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before returning
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis and will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis
• Middle name is required for consideration — confirmation is needed if candidate does not have one
